This course consists of an introductory webinar followed by three webinar recordings. Each session is up to 75-minutes long. 


Preparing for the Back to Basics journey: Orientation webinar

During this orientation, we will outline the commitment and expectations for your participation. Additionally, we'll share details about the resources available.


Webinar: Navigating your financial past

During this session, we will go over the importance of having a good financial mindset and the importance of embracing your financial past with financial therapist Guadalupe Buitron. We will also explore the basics of credit and how to manage debt effectively and purposefully. 


Webinar: Owning your financial present

During this session, we will focus on identifying needs vs. wants and the importance of maintaining a budget. You will also learn about tools that can help simplify spending and focus on what you can control. 


Webinar: Visualizing your financial future

During this session, you will learn how to establish realistic and specific goals. This will serve as the basis of your financial strategy, so you can prioritize saving and investing for the future. 


Beyond the classroom: Additional resources to get you started

In this portion of our course, you will have access to additional resources to get your financial wellness journey started. Participants who complete the entire course will receive an online certificate of completion.

    We estimate that the course will take about 7 hours of your time. This includes a one hour orientation webinar, three 75-minute live educational webinars, three brief videos to warm you up, and a couple of short surveys.

  • Will the course be held in person or online?
